LIGONIER, Pa. -- The Senior PGA championship will be held at Laurel Valley Golf Club in 2005.

The club, near Pittsburgh, also played host to the PGA's Pennsylvania Classic in 2001. The event will be in Pennsylvania for the second time in three years, with this year's Senior PGA championship in suburban Philadelphia.

Laurel Valley, a private club, also was the site of the 1965 PGA championship, the 1975 Ryder Cup and the 1989 U.S. Senior Open. The Pennsylvania Classic also was to have been played at Laurel Valley this year, but was relocated to the Nemacolin Woodlands resort in Fayette County and renamed the 84 Lumber Classic of Pennsylvania.

Arnold Palmer is a member of Laurel Valley's board of directors.
