NORD-EICHENRIED, Germany -- Robert Karlsson shot a 1-under-par 71 in the rain and wind Saturday, giving him a two-stroke lead after three rounds at the BMW Open.
Karlsson was at 16-under 200 but 16 players were within five strokes of the Swede, who won this tournament in 1997.
"I'm not worrying about the others," Karlsson said. "If the weather changes again, anybody could go out there and shoot a 63."
Lee Westwood was three strokes back after a 70 that included a 60-foot birdie on the 10th hole. The Englishman is having one of his best tournaments since a big slump after 2000, when he tied the European record with six titles.
Defending champion Thomas Bjorn of Denmark climbed back into contention, shooting a 70 that left him at 204.
Ernie Els of South Africa, Europe's leading money winner, had a triple bogey on the 15th and faded with a 74 for 213.
