ATHENS, Greece -- Greek soccer player Panayiotis Kordonouris was banned for three months and fined $315 Friday after testing positive for the steroid nandrolone.

Follow-up tests showed traces of the illegal substance in a urine sample by Kordonouris, a defender for the first-division club Xanthi in northern Greece.

The case of Panionios Athens' French midfielder Karim Mouzawi, who also tested positive for the same steroid, will be examined Monday.
