Leeds gains FA Cup quarterfinals

LONDON -- Leeds earned a spot in the quarterfinals of the FA Cup, beating Crystal Palace 2-1 Sunday on a 73rd-minute goal by Harry Kewell.

Leeds opened the scoring in the 33rd minute on a goal by Gary Kelly before Julian Gray tied it two minutes later. Kewell then made an excellent solo run and scored on a left-footer in the fifth-round game.

In other games, Fulham and division one Burnley tied 1-1; Chelsea beat division one Stoke City 2-0; and Wolverhampton defeated Rochdale 3-1.
