BARCELONA, Spain -- Juventus and Internazionale advanced to the semifinals of the European Champions Cup on Tuesday night and could be joined by a third Italian team, AC Milan.

Marcelo Zalayeta scored with six minutes remaining in overtime as Juventus won 2-1 at Barcelona and advanced on 3-2 aggregate in the home-and-home, total-goals series.

Pavel Nedved scored in the 53rd minute for Juventus, but Xavi Hernandez tied the score eight minutes later. Juventus, in the semifinals for the fifth time since 1992, played a man short after Edgar Davids was ejected in the 79th minute for getting his second yellow card.

Barcelona had been unbeaten in 15 consecutive Champions Cup games.

Inter lost 2-1 at Valencia and still advanced. While the aggregate in the series was 2-2, Inter led 1-0 in away goals, the first tiebreaker.

Christian Vieri put the Italian team ahead in the fifth minute, his second goal of the series, then left in the 32nd minute with a right knee injury.

Valencia got goals from Juan Pablo Aimar in the 34th minute and Ruben Baraja in the 51st.

In the semifinals, Juventus plays either Manchester United or defending champion Real Madrid, which won the first leg 3-1 two weeks ago. Inter plays either crosstown rival AC Milan or Ajax Amsterdam, who played a scoreless tie in the first leg. Second-leg games in those two series are Wednesday in Manchester and Milan.
